Ann Ostermann & Noel Murphy, Artists on Art Guests for 9/8/9
This show was a little different. I had two guests; Ann Ostermann and for the last ten minutes of the show Noel Murphy.
Ann is involved with the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County and produces the yearly Open Studios Art Tour. This year will be their 24th tour and will take place the first three weekends in October. We had a great conversation with information about the organization and event. Also, she explained how her art practice, as a stewardship of the art community here in Santa Cruz involves this production. She also explained how the tour works as far as participating as a viewer and as an artist.
The last part of the show involved a telephone interview with Noel Murphy who has written acts in the production Buckminster Fuller Live at and for the Actor’s Theater in Santa Cruz playing this weekend after a two sold out shows last weekend. All ticket proceeds are going to the theater.
